Arroz chino en wok de hierro fundido

Chinese fried rice in a cast iron wok

Do you have leftover rice from the day before? We bring you this delicious recipe to give that rice a new life and enjoy it as a family. We are sure you will love it even more than if you ordered it at a restaurant.

Ingredients:

  • 600g ground meat.
  • 1/2 white onion.
  • 1 carrot, chopped.
  • 2 cloves of garlic.
  • 1/2 teaspoon minced ginger.
  • Salt and pepper to taste.
  • 2-3 cups cooked rice.
  • 200g bean sprouts.
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil.
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce (optional).
  • 2-3 eggs.
  • Chopped green onion for garnish.

Preparation:

  1. Preheat your wok to high heat.

  2. With a little oil, sauté the onion and carrot until they are slightly translucent.

  3. Add the garlic, ginger, salt, and pepper.

  4. Add the meat and cook until it is completely browned.

  5. Once you see the meat is well browned, add the mushrooms, bean sprouts, and rice.

  6. Incorporate the soy sauce, sesame oil, and oyster sauce (if you choose to use it). Stir to ensure all ingredients are well combined.

  7. Clear a space in the center of the rice and pour in the beaten eggs. Stir quickly so the eggs cook and mix with the rice.

  8. Finally, add some chopped green onion as a garnish and enjoy.

This recipe is an excellent way to use up leftover rice and create a delicious homemade meal with an Asian twist. Bon appétit!
