Prepare your cured utensil before starting

Your Victoria utensil comes ready to use!
At the factory, we apply a first layer of seasoning with 100% natural flaxseed oil.
You can follow these steps to create a solid and durable base.

  1. Wash the utensil with a little mild soap and water.
  2. Dry completely with a cloth and place it on the stove to remove all moisture.
  3. Apply a thin layer of fat (butter, vegetable oil, or animal fat) over the entire utensil.
  4. Heat over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes and let cool.

Simple tips to start using your seasoned cookware

  1. Always preheat your cookware before adding food.
  2. Use the cooking fat of your choice (oil, butter, etc.).
  3. Remember, just because it is seasoned doesn't mean food won't stick. Non-stick properties are built up little by little.
  4. Wash after use with mild soap; this will prevent burnt-on food during your next use.
  5. Dry completely with a cloth and place on the stove to remove all moisture.
  6. To prevent rust and build the natural non-stick layer, apply a thin coat of fat.
