Black bean burger
Ingredients:
- Buns
- 3 cups cooked black beans
- 1/2 cup oat flour
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- Red onion
- Red and yellow bell pepper
- Garlic
- Parsley
For the toppings:
- Red onion
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Salt to taste
- Peperoncino
- Avocado and salt
Preparation:
-
Let's start by preparing the patty. You need to have your beans already cooked. I recommend soaking them the day before (for 12 hours). The next morning, wash them well and cook them for 30 minutes. Then, discard the water and let them cool.
-
Finely chop the vegetables (you can use a food processor or a knife, as you prefer) and sauté them with olive oil in your Victoria skillet until you get a savory base. Add salt while sautéing.
-
In a bowl, mash the cold beans until you obtain a dough.
-
Add the prepared vegetable base, oat flour, and sesame seeds, and mix until all ingredients are integrated and you have a homogeneous dough.
-
Form the burgers with your hands, in whatever size you desire.
-
Heat your Victoria skillet on the stove and add olive oil. Then, cook the burgers until golden brown on both sides.
For the toppings:
-
Slice half an onion into strips and sauté it. Add salt to taste, honey, and peperoncino, and continue sautéing until it changes color.
-
Prepare your guacamole: mash the avocado (leaving some larger chunks for a better texture) and add salt to taste.
Now, assemble the burger:
Place the onions on the bun, then the patty, cheese, and guacamole. Done! Enjoy this delicious burger.
