Your Victoria utensil comes ready to use!
At the factory, we apply a first layer of seasoning with 100% natural flaxseed oil.
You can follow these steps to create a solid and durable base.
- Wash the utensil with a little mild soap and water.
- Dry completely with a cloth and place it on the stove to remove all moisture.
- Apply a thin layer of fat (butter, vegetable oil, or animal fat) over the entire utensil.
- Heat over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes and let cool.
Simple tips to start using your seasoned cookware
- Always preheat your cookware before adding food.
- Use the cooking fat of your choice (oil, butter, etc.).
- Remember, just because it is seasoned doesn't mean food won't stick. Non-stick properties are built up little by little.
- Wash after use with mild soap; this will prevent burnt-on food during your next use.
- Dry completely with a cloth and place on the stove to remove all moisture.
- To prevent rust and build the natural non-stick layer, apply a thin coat of fat.
